The Blessing of the Animals

Good Saint Francis, you loved all of God’s creatures equally and are known as the patron saint of the animals.

God created all creatures great and small.

Bless all the animals that you created, they are all your children and share the same earth as we do.

Lord we ask you to bless our dogs, cats and all living creatures with your love and watch over them. Heal them when they are sick, keep them healthy and strong when they are weak, and keep them safe.

Watch over our animal friends until they are safely with you in eternity, where we someday hope to join them in giving you honor forever.

God, please bless my [animal]. Amen.
